The Estrella Blouse

Each Casa Nushki piece is made slowly and in very small quantities. The fabrics are carefully sourced deadstock linens and cottons, then cut and sewn in a small women-run studio in Mexico City before being hand embroidered, crocheted, dyed or finished by artisans in Oaxaca.

Many of these details take days or weeks to complete by hand. The price reflects the time, skill, materials and relationships behind each garment - from the women who sew the pieces to the artisans who dye, embroider and finish them.

We produce in tiny runs, often making only one, three or five of each design. Every piece carries human time, physical memory and the knowledge of the women who made it.

The Estrella is delicate, sculptural and almost impossibly light. Crafted from softly voluminous semi sheer cotton, she floats around the body with an ethereal softness, almost like a modern Aphrodite.

A scalloped hand crocheted trim by Alejandra in dusty salmon pink frames the piece, bringing warmth and intricacy to her airy silhouette. She has channelling through the neck and around the waist, making her super adjustable.

She feels both romantic and dramatic, like something found in a dark oak forgotten drawer but treasured forever.

One size, but she's very adjustable. Fits an S-L.
