ABOUT THE BRAND

Casa Nushki
Casa Nushki is an ethical fashion brand. We work with female artisans from Boujaad, Morocco, to Oaxaca, Mexico. From sabra silk rugs traditionally woven by Laila's cooperative, to hand embroidery stitched by the magical hands of 3 artisan families in Ocotlán, Oaxaca, every piece we make is unique, made with care, intentionality, and love. The brand juxtaposes artisan-made and vintage textiles with sexy, classic and chic silhouettes. In our little imaginary world, we have the soul of Patti Smith, we're Joan Baez headlining Woodstock in a little dress with delicate flowers on it. We're true luxury, inspired by powerful yet soft women. We operate from within the female gaze: we don’t like putting women in boxes, we want you to feel like your most unique and sparkly self – and we never underestimate the healing powers of a great outfit. We work directly with the artisans, so there are no middle men involved in the textiles we use. We also work with some deadstock/vintage textiles which Anushka sources in Morocco and Mexico.

Laila runs a cooperative of female weavers in Boujaad, where they weave traditional rugs from cactus silk and wool, and we turn their rugs into garments. As well as working with these artisans, we also source unique vintage textiles from around the world to make limited edition pieces and bring life back into forgotten fabrics. We strive to strike the balance between the eternal and the present: nostalgic but always one step ahead. Fashion is a way of connecting people, cultures and moments in time, and we hope our pieces bring you a sense of timelessness, while still being hot and making you feel like that girl. Each piece you buy from us will be slightly unique, you will be able to feel the love and handmade aspect in our garments. Our pieces are all handmade in London by a small female founded studio. Nothing here is mass produced, you are special, and you deserve something that is uniquely you <3
